Formerly known as the State Radio Management Committee (State Radio Regulation Committee, SRRC) China’s National Radio Monitoring Center (State Radio Monitoring Center, SRMC) is the current mainland China The only organization authorized to test and certify radio type approval requirements. At present, China has set special frequency ranges for different types of radio transmission equipment, and not all frequencies are legally used in China. In other words, all radio transmission equipment sold or used within its territory will specify different frequencies. In addition, applicants must pay attention to the scope of certain radio transmission equipment. Not only must they apply for "Radio Type Approval and Certification", they must also apply for China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and / or network access permit (MII) Approval.
The National Radio Monitoring Center is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China. It is mainly responsible for radio monitoring and radio spectrum management, and is the supporting organization for China's radio management.
The center consists of 10 offices, 1 national monitoring station, 8 national shortwave/satellite monitoring stations, 1 ultrashortwave monitoring station and 1 data backup center. There are 152 employees, including 117 in Beijing and 35 outside Beijing. There are 119 with bachelor degree or above, accounting for 79% of the total number of employees. Among them, 96 have intermediate titles or above, accounting for 63% of the total number of employees.
The center has always been at the forefront of China’s radio monitoring work, and has excellently completed routine monitoring, equipment testing, spectrum research and other tasks. It has repeatedly performed many major monitoring tasks such as protecting the dedicated frequency spectrum for civil aviation navigation and ensuring the safety of radio information during major national events. The outstanding achievements have played an irreplaceable role in the national radio management work.
In recent years, the center has continuously strengthened the construction of the talent team and the construction of technical facilities, and has effectively promoted the modernization and scientificization of radio management. At present, the national radio management information network has been basically completed, and the national short-wave radio monitoring network and the national radio satellite monitoring network have also begun to take shape.At present, the center is committed to comprehensively improving the support capabilities of radio management, and strive to make new contributions to the healthy development of China's radio industry.
